Quilted Star Advent Calendar with Free Activity Cards

Quilted Star Advent Calendar Tutorial

Does your family participate in Advent? This has become one of our family's favorite traditions over the years. Advent is the season leading up to Christmas, to celebrate Jesus' arrival. Many people celebrate in different ways, and a big way people celebrate is through an Advent calendar to countdown until Christmas and build anticipation for the season.

Since my daughter is older now, this year felt like the perfect time to create an advent calendar full of activities. You'll find the free advent activity cards are flexible and have space for you to fill in with your own family traditions. I wanted to keep most days simple, using supplies that are easy to come by or already in our home. I also like to sprinkle in a Christmas book and a small toy on some days. With this calendar, you can choose what is best for your family!

As far as the calendar goes, I love how the simple quilted star pattern turned out. I am excited to pull this calendar out year after year. The linen blend fabric is from Joann Fabrics and you can find the full measurements and tutorial on this free PDF.

I pray you enjoy creating this calendar, time with family, and this hope-filled season of Advent!
